The two JSON options serve different purposes. For a restorable copy, use Export all or a workspace’s Export action on Workspaces.
What the PDF contains
Professional PDF downloads an actual PDF. It includes the profile fields you supplied, CGPA and grading scheme, highest and lowest semester averages, and a course table grouped by semester information.
Open the file after downloading. Check that course names are legible, the selected scale is correct and the record contains the semesters you intended. The report is a calculation aid; it does not certify grades or replace an institution’s transcript.
You do not need to convert a text file or print through a word processor to obtain this PDF.
Working with the CSV
The CSV has sections for student information, semester summaries and course details. These contain different headers, so select the relevant section when building a spreadsheet table or chart.
A CSV preserves text and numeric values, but it has no workbook tabs or formatting. Spreadsheet applications may interpret separators or numeric formats differently depending on import settings. If everything opens in one column, use your app’s import command and select comma-separated data.
The export quotes text fields so commas, quotation marks and line breaks in names or notes remain within their cells. Formula-like user text is exported as literal text. These are useful details when a course name contains punctuation or begins with a special character.
GPA and CGPA exports differ
The single-term GPA calculator has Export PDF and Export Excel controls beside its grading-scale selector. Its Excel control downloads CSV. The file includes course names, credits, selected grades and quality points.
Quality points are grade points multiplied by credits: a three-credit A worth 4.0 points contributes 12 quality points. An ungraded row is identified separately from an earned failing grade.
CGPA covers multiple semesters and adds profile, semester and analysis information. Use the tool whose scope matches the record you need.
A quick export check
- Confirm the active workspace and grading scheme.
- Review missing grades and any invalid inputs.
- Distinguish completed results from projected grades in planned semesters.
- Download the format you need and open it.
- Compare the exported total with the calculator before sharing.
For a simple arithmetic check, two equal-credit courses worth 4.0 and 3.0 points average to 3.50. A file that shows a different result needs a closer look at credits, course multipliers and included rows.
Keep a restorable backup separately
A PDF cannot restore courses into the calculator. Neither can the CSV or analysis JSON. Use the workspace backup workflow when changing browsers or saving a recoverable version of your work.
Exports are assembled in the browser. Once downloaded, the file is an ordinary local document containing whatever names, grades and notes you entered. Choose what to include before sharing it.
