About ECTS
The European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) describes learning outcomes and their associated workload. It supports credit accumulation and transfer; it does not define a universal GPA scale.
- 1 ECTS credit typically represents 25–30 hours of work
- 60 ECTS credits represent a full-time academic year
- Bachelor’s programmes often require 180 or 240 ECTS
- Master’s programmes commonly require 90 or 120 ECTS
